Pics: draft horses

First team heading towards the ring.

This team didn't make it to the ring; the lead horses kept spooking. These folks are calming the horses while the lead team is unhitched.

This isn't as bad a situation as it may appear, but still a problem. The women trying to hide behind the fence are handlers who work with this team-- and the lead horses wanted to stop and ask for carrots. Oops!

24 draft horses in one place = impressive. (That's the most they'd allow in the ring at once; there were 7 teams entered but they were judged in two groups.)

Leaving the ring-- with a 3rd place ribbon.

Power. (No, I wasn't that close; it's cropped.)
