Cardinal on my birdfeeder while it snowed. Such wonderful color!
The cardinal again.
I put the cardinal up front because it's so cheery and I know a couple of friends especially like them-- but this downy woodpecker resting on a deck rail is so much better as a photograph, it's my pic of the day.
I can see why the woodpecker is your pic of the day, but I'm also delighted to see the cardinal!
I miss cardinals -- haven't seen one in years. I do fondly remember the one in our back yard when I was growing up, though...a lovely spot of red among all the green!
