Geese and ducks in the newly open water.





I was momentarily excited thinking that the two ducks might be Black Ducks, but then I saw the head of a male mallard behind some of the geese-- so I have to assume the ducks are female mallards, looking darker than usual because of the angle or because they're wet or something.



There were also a couple of male mergansers among the geese.
