Sometimes the pic practically takes itself. That's how I felt about this tree with the mountains in the background, today.





I don't just love live trees, the dead ones speak to me too, like this mossy stump.





First frog pic of the season! I've heard a few on my last few walks at Cassin but this is the first one to pose. I'm always astonished at how early the leopard frogs show up at this spot-- it snowed yesterday, for heaven's sake!



This little flock of snow geese was a special treat, too!
