Lazy Saturday, more or less

Woke up about 9 this morning and was amazed when the kidlet, seldom seen before noon on Saturdays, appeared moments later. She allowed me 15 minutes to wake up before taking her to the stable. She still can’t ride Whisper, but missed just hanging out at the stable so much that she went out anyway. Her dedication was rewarded; mid-morning the trainer, who had been riding a prize quarter horse, asked Laura to grab her helmet and cool the horse down. Kidlet was really pleased to have a chance to ride Ace, and did get to trot him a bit before walking him out.

I did my organ practice, some sewing and some reading. Late afternoon hubby and I headed out to pick up the kid and help give Whisper her evening pills . Then we all went to see Shanghai Knights... fun! All followed by a nice quiet evening.
