Church went okay. I didn't have much to do; no prelude or offertory, and for postlude, it was suggested that I echo the recessional sung by the youth choir. I did; it was a catchy little African tune, and I played around with it quite a bit, making it a dialogue between full organ at the front of the church and antiphonal trumpets from the balcony. I literally had a few folk dancing in the aisle! That was fun.
After Chinese food and a nap, the kidlet joked about going to see The Incredibles... and after some discussion, we ate dinner a bit early and caught the last matinee showing. Fun- fluff, but fun. Loved the music. When we got home, hubby and I lingered outside to admire the stars on the first clear night recently... and then called the kidlet back outside, and all three of us stood and watched the northern lights glow in the west for five minutes. Gorgeous!
