Photo Life List
Jul. 30th, 2005 11:20 pmMonths ago I talked about starting a photographic bird life list-- a collection of pics of the different bird species I've seen. I got bored yesterday, and started setting it up here. It's by no means complete-- for example, despite having daily visits from rubythroated hummingbirds for 6 months every year, apparently I've never taken a decent pic of one! I'm posting my favorite pic of each species rather than the first, when I've got more than one to choose from.
I wish I had another bird to add to it tonight. I got another look at what I think is a night heron, but it was just a touch too dark, and none of my pics is clear enough to confirm the identity. I've been stalking that bird for two weeks-- I WILL get a decent pic!
At least the herons are back-- seem to have returned with the rain when the drought broke. I've seen at least one blue heron every time I've walked for the past week; tonight it was at least two blues, at least two greens, and the possible night heron.
(And if even a few of you go look at a few pics, I'll pass 1000 pics viewed in July- whee!)
That was fast! Thank you all... it really means a lot to me that so many of you take the time to look at my pics.
