I've been decluttering for months, now, but have been dragging my heels about some big items. I've spent today posting some on FreeCycle, and have one to sell... but there's one thing that needs special handling.

Years ago, my father-in-law made my sister-in-law a loom, and felt like he should make something special for me, too. What I got is a handmade folk harp. It's not a great instrument-- it's decent wood, but the sound box is hardwood plywood, and it's made by a woodworker who was not an instrument maker. Still, it's probably a decent beginner's instrument.

I've never learned to play it, and to be honest, there are a number of instruments in line ahead of it, not to mention other hobbies. We have so many things made by Bill that I really don't feel compelled to keep them all, and hubby agrees.

So... I'd like to find the harp a good home. I suppose I could sell it, but I'll give it away, though I expect any recipient to pay shipping costs, or gas costs, or whatever. If someone east coast-ish wants it, we'll bring it along on the move, but I'd like to pass it on soon. If no friend wants it, I'd gladly pass it on to a friend of a friend.
