Today after lunch I begged a ride from hubby back to his workplace, and walked home from there. That lets me take a half-mile path through the woods to the waterfall before walking home on the city streets.
While on the woods path, I aimlessly took a few pics of a cat sunbathing among fall leaves. Then I walked on to the falls, and stopped at the library, post office and organic grocery before turning for home.
I was nearly home when I saw a poster about a missing cat-- and it matched the one I had seen near the falls. I phoned the number on the poster and explained; got the owner's email. Rushed home, loaded the pics on my computer and emailed them to him. Then decided to try to catch it-- could always re-release if it was the wrong cat. Grabbed a cat carrier and some treats, drove back to the park, but no cat
Which is okay. Around 7 the owner (who had been on the road on business) phoned to say that the cat in the pics wasn't his. I sure hope his comes home!
