Priorities

Instead of the inch or so of sleet expected overnight, I woke up to 8 inches of fresh snow. (It wasn't supposed to switch to snow until after noon today.)

I decided to wait to try clearing the driveway until the kidlet wakes up to help. But a mourning dove landed on the back railing and looked.... well, mournful.... so I've already gone out to clear and top off the feeders, and put out a few extra goodies. I don't expect to see many birds today, but I won't let down the ones who come!

... if being paid in (local organic) garlic counts!

The owner of my CSA farm is using one of my pics in this year's brochure, and possibly on their web page. I'll get photo credit, and he's dropping off a bag of garlic within the next few days.

He also wants, sometime, a print of a pic I took of their cat; I'll barter again, for either a discount on my share, or a few extras over the course of the summer.

Edited to add-- he just emailed again, offering me a $100 discount on my season share, if I'll take pics at the farm every week! Dang!
