Just to prove I've been out of the house....

Least sandpiper, I believe, out where our brook feeds into the creek. I'm also delighted to see what I believe is a decent scattering of purple flag irises. Dismayed, however, that I'm now 99% certain that many of the shrubs on the property are Japanese honeysuckle, very harmful to the ecosystem. We're working on a plan to eradicate them, probably across two or three years so we don't wipe the yard bare, and can move a few native plants that are intertwined with them.
