Slow morning, but I got some housework done and lots of piano. After lunch I sorted all those apples-- half a bucket of horse apples, most of a square laundry basket for eating, and we've already given away a few! Then we were off to the farm for our farm share. Lots of good stuff this week-- potatoes, onions, garlic, greens (which we gave to our partner in the share), beets, brussels sprouts, zucchini and squash, eggplant, flowers and pumpkins!
Home for dinner: turkey cutlets with maple mustard sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, glazed carrots. Absolutely wonderful! Then off for our walk, and the kid and I got a bit more housework done tonight.
I got an email today that I won a silent auction item at the festival on Saturday. I'm really surprised, apparently I was the only bidder! It's a maple sampler-- syrup, caramel corn, kettle korn, candy, not sure what else. I think I'll go to get it tomorrow, since the weather prediction isn't too bad.
Oh! After a consult with the vet (they phone every day!) we let Nala out with the other cats. She's been a bit subdued, but no fights or anything. She's following the kidlet around like a puppy. Once when the kidlet went out doors, Nala actually sat by the door and meowed! We'll close her into the kid's bedroom tonight but increase her time out tomorrow. She sat on my lap for a few minutes, and is on the back of my chair now.
