Show day (so far)
Jun. 20th, 2009 02:57 pmNow that's the way I like a horse show. Kidlet and the barn manager took care of transporting Felicity and her gear, so I slept a bit longer, then zipped down to the fairgrounds (only 5 miles) at around 8:30. The show started promptly and ran briskly, but in a relaxed fashion-- no fuss over waiting a minute or two for a tack change or equipment problem. I'm glad of that, because one of the equipment problems was us! Felicity thought we were bridling her when we were haltering her, and kept taking the chin chain into her mouth like a bit.
Kidlet is placing in the middle to low part of her class (6 minis in all), learning a great deal, meeting other mini owners, and having a barrel of fun. Two other minis are related to Felicity, and Felicity's original trainer is there.
All that, and I was home shortly after noon for lunch. I'm sorting pics now- have whittled 180 down to 24!
