(no subject)

A couple of nights ago it was very warm; I woke at dawn and came downstairs where it was cooler. I opened one of the French doors and settled down to try to sleep a bit more.... and a bird started singing outside, and continued about once per minute for the next THREE HOURS. Worse, I recognized the call but couldn't place the bird, and couldn't see it.

Today, walking home from downtown, I heard the same call, very close by, and there it was-- a house wren!
