I had stretched out some amusing fabric to show to my daughter, and someone else looking over my shoulder exclaimed "What are those?"

A sweet little voice replied, in that 'I must have said this a hundred times already' voice, "Dancing chickens. Naked." She's even cuter than the fabric, so I took her picture!

That's fabric! The face is painted/dyed and then contoured with thread; the headscarf and shoulder cloth are 3-D.

Today while driving home from my Monday walk, I realized I had driven through a favorite bird-watching spot without looking around, even though I had detoured to go that way, so I looped back. This egret was my reward.
