Monday is the day I try very hard to take off, and while I'm idly doing a few church emails, I'm staying home and doing relaxing stuff today. That's aided by the fact that we had freezing rain overnight; very glad it was last night and not the night before!

I've been stalled on my current project, because the next step requires about an hour of fairly continuous work AND a large work space. I've occasionally had the hour free, but my daughter has pretty much usurped the craft table. However, my husband is away, so the dining room table which doubles as his home office is bare. While it's special to me, it's not such a nice table that I won't put it to use (family lore says my sister has cracked geodes on it), so a while ago I carefully slid the large cutting mat out from under my daughter's work and brought it upstairs, along with a rotary cutter and pincushion. The bunnies are now stacked with batting and backing, awaiting pin basting! Once that's done I can quilt it a few minutes at a time.

I'm deliberately using the 'wrong' side of a fabric. I had a green cotton, a good color for backing and binding, but it's polished, with a satiny texture that didn't seem right for a quilt backing, so I'm putting the polished side inside instead.
