There she goes again
Sep. 6th, 2022 09:01 pmToday, on our 42nd anniversary, my husband and I helped our daughter move back to Vermont. This is, I think, the 5th time she's moved out-- twice for college, twice into her own apartment. But this is the first time she has moved to be with someone else, and that feels really different. (She's moving in with ex-boyfriend and long time best friend Chris, and they admit that they're not sure where the relationship is going-- but they want to find out.)
I'm happy for her, and nervous for her, and excited to see what she does next (she intends to focus on her art for a while); and I'll miss her a lot but I'm also looking forward to more freedom in my life. And I'm deeply grateful to be living in a time when we can communicate instantly any time we want!
