Stone cairn by the old reservoir. I got down on the ground to take this shot... and then sat and sipped a little cup of tea before I got back up.

I was delighted to realize that two ducks I was watching were not mallards-- that's an American Black Duck! You can tell by the lack of white edge along the blue patch, among other things. Oddly, I think the splashing is part of a courtship display, already!
