We had an intense thunderstorm today, complete with half-inch hail for a while, and then it moved off to the east-- upstream in our watershed. This is the result, an hour after the rain stopped: water as high as I've ever seen it in the smaller streams in town.

I'm sure this old barn has survived worse.

A little family of geese took refuge in the lowest part of the yard; the adults were clearly reluctant to take the goslings into the water so we didn't go very close.
