Crafters please help?

I need a ballpark estimate of how long it might take a competent knitter or crocheter to make a 12 inch square, worsted weight yarn, very easy stitch. Help please?

Completely depends on the weight of the yarn. Not long if it is a very heavyweight yarn using a triple crochet, a heck of a lot longer if it is a very lightweight silk in the same stitch.

Needle gauge will make a difference, as well. Those novelty scarves I posted to Facebook average about 6' x 8" and take me two hours on Size 17 needles.
