Native wild iris- purple flag. Yellow, which is non-native and invasive, is far more common, so this was a cheering sight.

It can stretch its neck out long just like a blue heron, but only does so when it needs the length.

I got to take pics of a muskrat just being muskratty-- not staring at the camera. Here he's working to uproot a plant.
