Pileated woodpecker beside the church parking lot.





Odd duck I spotted today. It has some characteristics of an eider, but is mallard-shaped and quacked like a mallard, so I have to assume it's a mallard/domestic cross.



"Just" a crow... but even they are lovely, and it's surprisingly hard to get a good pic of one.

My daughter is thinking of going to college again. This is the pipe organ in the chapel of her prospective school. It's a small enough place that I am hopeful of getting a chance to play it, if her plans come through.
