My Lord, what a morning.....

kayreWoke up, and immediately regretted doing so, as I quickly started coughing and dripping. Began slogging through my morning routine, which includes 15 minutes at the computer, reading comics and LJ while I comb out my hair. Ran across someone’s LJ entry that made reference to daylight savings time.... and realized in one horrible instant that it was not 7:11, it was 8:11 and worship would begin in only 19 minutes! Hubby and I can move; we were out of the house in 4 minutes, and made it to the church by 8:25 without totally shattering any speed limits. Had just enough time to run through my prelude on a super-soft stop and then we began. I did okay; thank goodness my music this week was all very familiar stuff.
Slipped out to McD’s for breakfast between services. That proved to be a Very Good Thing, as second service ran 90 minutes rather than the usual 70. Besides the typical service stuff, we had a puppet skit, reception of new members, a video presentation from the conference, an open letter from the bishop, and communion. Again I played reasonably well, despite a tendency to completely space out when not playing. Came home and slept for 3 hours.
