The first wildflowers are open.. and frustratingly enough, I haven't managed to ID any of them, and My Sister the Naturalist seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth again.

White flower, violet-sized, very fuzzy stems, no leaves emerging



Purple flowers, violet-sized, sunny location



blue flowers, 1/4 inch blossoms, sunny area-- do note the leaves, I don't think they're bluets or false forget-me-not



At least I know what this is! Of course, I noticed him because movement caught my eye-- brown fur gently submerging right next to him. That was a muskrat, and tonight I got to watch two of them in the same little pond.
