Fair, Day Zero
In previous years, no animals were allowed on the fairgrounds until 6 a.m. Monday morning, with show classes beginning as early as 10 a.m. This meant several hundred horses, and hundreds of other animals, arriving within those few hours, all needing vet checked and entry paperwork. It was pretty nightmarish. This year horses were allowed to enter today, with classes beginning at 9 a.m. tomorrow, so there was a whole day to settle in. Much calmer!
Important show tomorrow means tonight is bath night!
Nothing says "quality time" like a family bathing their horse together.
Can't you just hear this horse thinking, "I just want to disappear... how CAN she make me dress this way?"
Carnival workers were amusing themselves by balancing long-handled brooms on their faces.
