Wanderings
Sep. 28th, 2005 06:46 pmI was afraid that when I set out deliberately to do photography, I'd end up seeing nothing but cornfields and soybeans. Luckily, that wasn't the case.
The town mascot of Gilboa, Ohio, I assume.
This lovely memorial is in Glandorf, Ohio. Faced with a hundred or more crumbling tombstones, they incorporated all the pieces into this unusual memorial, surrounded now by a smooth bare lawn.
At least four of these birds are scattered across the top of the memorial.
A cemetery chapel in Avilla, Indiana.
I paused briefly at the Gene Stratton Porter Memorial in Rome City, Indiana. This owl was guarding the gate.
Saw this cute little thing on the trail to the memorial. He's very tiny, only about 8 inches long.
You knew there'd be a barn, didn't you? (This one is in Paulding County, Ohio.)
