I love chipmunks, but they rarely sit still long enough for pics.
Unforunately I don't think I can count this pair of peacocks in my bird lifelist.
I was actually trying to catch the cool way the ducks' wakes crisscrossed, but just as I snapped some of them took flight.
This young cardinal is coming to my "birdie granola" feeder (filled with peanuts and dried fruit along with sunflower seeds). Looks like she's about 6 months old; her beak has turned from black to orange but she's still downy, with indistinct color. I suspect she'll be a regular at this feeder all summer.
If I had noticed the stinger, I'm not sure I'd have stayed to take pics!
