My little contribution to citizen science
Cornell Lab of Ornithology has accepted my bluebird report and pic from last week as a confirmed "unusual bird sighting"-- out of normal winter range. It'll appear in their Rare Birds report next week.
My report plus lots of others will probably result in a slight change in the range maps in future bird guides. As the bluebird recovers from endangered status, its range is increasing; I've provided one little data point for that.
