One of the big events of the fall here is the migration of the snow geese. Sadly, despite considerable effort, I never saw one! But today I encountered a small flock on their return trip.
The migrating water birds are quite okay with mingling. Here are some snow geese with Canada geese and at least one mallard duck.
But the really incredible thing today was the sky.
I stopped five times on the way to town to observe and take pics.
