French influence

Finally visited the cemetery across the street. It's St. Peter's, Catholic, so there's considerable French influence. There's a Charbonneau family plot, too. (Only dates from the 1880's, though.)

He what?

This comes from a local newspaper. It's the Q'horse ad that amuses me. If you're not a horse person-- the French "longe" is sometimes Americanized to "lunge"-- but "lounge" is quite different!

Gypsy likes the house

Gypsy likes the house. (Yes, there's a screen there.) (Yes, I need doorstops.)

Barn

I've driven past this barn many times; finally I had a chance to walk past and take pics!

What is it?

Anyone know what this iron piece was before it became a garden ornament?
