Mysteries of the universe
Yesterday I noticed that both pairs of kitchen scissors had migrated to our 'gift-wrapping station' in the dining room. I picked them up, took approximately 7 steps from dining room through my studio area to the kitchen-- and the scissors disappeared. Three of us have searched and still can't find them!
Edit: found! I had also removed my packaging tape from the mix, and put the scissors with it in my "secret" tool stash. (Years ago I accumulated a few basic tools so that I wouldn't have to keep hunting in the hubby's shop. Everyone knows where my stash is, now-- but they also know that failing to return anything they borrow is really BAD.)
