Just like the good old days...
During my walk I heard a squawk and looked for the birdie. What I saw looked a lot like a hairy woodpecker, but that squawk was all wrong, so I started snapping pics. They confirmed my suspicion-- yellow bellied sapsucker! (Yes, there really is a bird called that, and here he is.)
On the way home I saw a flash of blue, and stopped for more pics. More and more bluebirds are staying north for the winter.
A glimpse of a quiet stretch of Otter Creek.
