During a walk around the yard I heard raucous bird noises. They were coming from a flock of 10 or more robins attacking a fledgling bluejay. When I approached they scattered, and the jay had a chance to dive into a pine tree. I followed him for a few minutes as he moved from tree to tree.
Check out the short wings and tail.
So downy, and no crest yet.
