Nala update

Nala's nightly ritual for the last month or two has included chasing balls of crumpled paper. She'll stare at me until I tear a page out of a magazine, roll it up and throw it down the hall; once it's "dead" she comes back for more. Typically she wants about six paper balls per evening. (I toss them into recycling in the morning.) The very first sign of her illness was a week ago Monday, when she listlessly chased one ball and then quit.

A little while ago I realized she was giving me The Stare, so I started tearing and tossing. She chased four!
