I'm not terribly sure what this critter is, but it's definitely NOT a beaver or muskrat, the most common water mammals around here. Looks like an otter but didn't seem that big; other candidates are marten or fisher. Was fun to watch, anyway!

Redwinged blackbirds are common here, and I've seen them glean seed from the ground near my feeders-- but I don't recall having one actually eat from a feeder until this week.
