Field sparrow, I believe... that surely looks like a "stout pink bill" to me.





Turtle sunbathing-- just love that giant foot!



More turtles-- hope the littlest is big enough to make it through the winter!



This brilliant skipper landed right in front of me. (He's like a grasshopper, but flies short distances-- the little things that pop up near you and arc maybe 5 feet away.)



Instead of flying again, this one crawled a few inches to where it would be camouflaged by a couple of leaves. My daughter wants to know how it knew to do that.
