A first peek at my current project. I knew I needed something to keep me busy on vacation, so I decided to do some hand piecing. I've been sewing together the triangles to make 1/4 pinwheels, and then sewing them together into half pinwheels. Now that the seams are longer I'll switch to machine sewing and finish up fast! The pinwheels are grey and dark red, both tiny prints, and they'll alternate with squares of a different, truly adorable fabric, for a small lap quilt or baby quilt.
