My backyard totally looked like a postcard of Vermont today-- and then I tramped around and left snowshoe tracks all over.

Queen Anne's Lace in the snow.

This was part of a fascinating track. It's a wing print of a large bird, probably a crow. The bird left about 12 feet of tracks in the snow, ending in a messy takeoff area. If it was chasing anything, the prey must have been under the snow, there were no other tracks. Can't tell if it caught it or not.
