Tree sparrow

Happy to see a tree sparrow at my feeder this morning (and lucky to have my camera at hand). That red-brown cap is quite eye-catching "in person."

I bought Mom a wild bird field guide a few years ago for Mother's Day. Needless to say, she reads it religiously and has become quite the expert at identifying the many wild bird species that flock to the South.
