The most recent 'before' pic, taken mostly to establish the condition of the floor and wall tiles. Wall above the tile was black wallpaper before we moved in; 2 years ago we removed that and painted it turquoise. Not visible: rust stains, bulging wall from plumbing leaks, mildew from lack of vent fan.

From the door-- new shower enclosure, with new plumbing. I love having a handheld shower again! Shower curtain is still the one the previous owners left us.

Had to remove the built-in drawers beside the door; I like these new glass shelves MUCH more.

New, slightly retro-looking toilet, new towel rod, and the lovely "attendant" (a wooden cat, very tall and thin). Amusing side story-- I was going to continue the tall thin cat theme by putting a pair of antique ceramic cats on the very top glass shelf. But like most old ceramics, they are hollow, with holes in the bottom... so looking up at the shelf, one would see cat buttholes. Nope! Maybe if I put a little felt pad underneath.

New sink and cabinet, which I just love. Medicine cabinet is original built-in, so sturdy that replacing it was impossible, so I removed the door, repainted it and replaced the mirror. Original wall lamps, towel holders, etc.
