The political situation finally got me down; I've been feeling utterly drained for weeks. Last week I watched the sham hearings, and couldn't take any more; I literally slept most of the next two days, until after the vote. Thankfully, now that that's over I seem to be regaining some momentum. Now I've just got weeks' worth of household neglect to recover from.
Three weeks ago I mentioned a magical bit of musical fun-- improvised guitar duets with my friend Dan. We immediately decided to share what we'd done as communion music, and did that on Sunday. He played melody on two sweet hymns while I finger-picked chords as accompaniment. It was amazingly relaxing and healing for me, and many folk from the congregation commented on how soothing and meditative it was. (I have slightly mixed feelings about that, since we were replacing my usual organ or piano meditations!) I hope we can do similar thing again.

Hoping you can do such musical work again soon!
