A farm in upstate NYS, outside of Rochester, NY.

Ah, a few hours away then-- I'm in central Vermont.

If I recall, the parts of VT I've seen look a lot like upstate NY, except that VT has bumpy bits and upstate NY is almost entirely flat.

Right, and I'm in the Champlain Valley so the immediate area is pretty flat, but I"m only 10 miles from the foothills of the Green Mountains.

I've been to the Champlain Valley! Vacations used to involve a lot of driving & camping, so I spent a lot of time in PA, NY, and VT as a kid.
