kayreYou know it's a rough day at church when the daughter of the deceased is the calmest person in the building.
I should perhaps clarify.... the deceased died three weeks ago, the delayed memorial service is Saturday. Organizing vocal music requested for that has turned up some Drama.
Monday we distribute Thanksgiving food bags to needy families identified by school nurses, so one long hallway is full of tables with 80 bags of groceries, and people trying to get them organized.
Tuesday night we begin setup for a Fair Trade Market in our Fellowship Hall.
Sunday the handbell choir is playing. Normally we would set up in the sanctuary tonight, but we can't because of the memorial service; and the equipment is kept in Fellowship Hall. So after rehearsal in the hall tonight, we'll stash all the equipment in Sunday School rooms so that we can set up on Saturday after the memorial.
AND... we also had a previously scheduled meeting to discuss the children's Christmas pageant. Two of the four people in that meeting.... really really need a drink, or a tranquilizer, or a clue on how to work together under stress.
My job is not dull.
