staycation!

kayreSo, after a couple of days where I felt like my indoor allergies were worse than usual, during the night I developed major sinus congestion, headache, slight sore throat. I have a history of sinus infections, so my doctor agrees that's what this is-- but these days it's not so simple, right? So I have the usual antibiotics, but also got tested for COVID-19 this morning, and have to isolate pending results. Which means I can't play live for our livestreamed worship this Sunday.
I really don't believe it's COVID but I also don't believe in unnecessary risks, so I am isolating from family fairly strictly. That means I'm mostly tucked away in our guest bedroom. I did venture upstairs to play the dulcimer for a while. Normally a sinus infection is something I'd just push through; it's rather a relief to just not do stuff.
Underlying all this is considerable anxiety about my brother, who had open heart surgery on Monday and is not yet off the ventilator. Good thoughts for him are much appreciated.
