(no subject)

It was a simply awful week at church, and while there are flickers of hope, they are faint and fragile. But it was also a week full of happy encounters with strangers, and one acquaintance fast becoming a friend. Maybe a sign...

There was the parking lot encounter I've already mentioned

A woman walking two dogs in a park, who showed me what trees to watch for eagles

A little boy on the rail trail... I gave him a little encouragement on a long up-slope, and he recognized me 20 minutes later on my return trip and offered a few more words

Substitute organist who is not only available when I need him this summer, but is offering some light chat (the "musical lasagna" guy

Person attending a meeting in our church library, who asked if she could borrow a Bible... I gave her one to keep, of course

I am so glad you are finding sparks of light in the darkness.

And hooray for substitute organist!

Continued love, support, prayers, and good energy.

I'm glad there were good things this week. I hope Holy Week is meaningful for you in a good way.

(You can always poke me on Trillian when you need a listening ear - the badge notification will pop up and I'll see it when I have my phone.)

I'm sorry things are going so poorly at church, and I'm glad you're finding bits and pieces of things to give you cheer.

I'm glad there is light amongst the awfulness.

May supports and hopes increase and assume more and more flesh.
