a bright spot

Last night I spent more than an hour at church with six other people, none of whom are mad at me. It was remarkably refreshing, and a good reminder that, as far as I know, only two or possibly three people are upset with me. It's just that they are three of the people with whom I work most closely.

The event was a 12-bell handbell ringing session, and very fun. Of course this raises the dilemma of whether to ask D for a recording session in a few weeks. But folk are content to play for fun, and maybe revive the same group in the fall.

It is truly unfortunate that the people with whom you have to work most closely are so problematic, but I am delighted that there are many who can bring you joy - and you to them.

I hope that you can wear it and be sheltered by it, at least a little.
