What a week!

... and it's only Thursday!

On Monday, my dear honorary aunt Irene had a health scare, and I spent the day in an ER with her, as she has no local family. She's fine now, but there was a very scary possibility that needed to be ruled out.

My daughter's had increasing back pain since last weekend, and yesterday the pain ramped up so fast that we went to the same ER. Again, scary possibilities ruled out, but she's still in a lot of pain-- lumbar strain probably complicated by her SPS, and then by a bad reaction to a drug. Spent this morning wondering if we were headed back to the hospital, but she's improving now.

Tomorrow I drive Irene to a follow-up appointment, because her blood pressure was scary high even at the end of the ER trip. And there will likely be some kind of appointment for Laura too.

I haven't even attempted to do any focused work since yesterday noon... just lots of crocheting.

And I want props for not yelling at the PA who kept referring to "Stiff Man Syndrome" even though I corrected her every time-- it is Stiff Person Syndrome. The older term is especially ironic since far more women get the condition.

Irene and Laura are very fortunate to have your care, and as you know, I am holding my thumbs hard for all three of you!
