These two turtles make me think: "I'm not speaking to you!" "Well, I'm not speaking to you FIRST!"
Still not many herons around, but I saw two today; here's one.
Hairy woodpecker, molting; she doesn't have much tail right now.
Downy woodpecker-- similar but smaller. Both came within 6 feet of us during dinner.
This odd-looking thing is a merganser, also molting. She can't fly right now; she and her baby went running/swimming away from me as fast as they could.
