Happy kidlet day

Just got off the phone with the vet. Whisper has been off medication for more than a week, and looking sound and comfortable since Sunday-- so the kidlet gets to saddle up tonight. Ten minutes at a walk tonight, 15 with some trotting tomorrow-- but I’m sure my amazingly patient kidlet will be thrilled just to be in the saddle on her own horse again.

Good thoughts would be appreciated-- if there’s still any trouble, it’ll show up this weekend.

Update, and meme of the day

Well, Whisper looked okay-- very pissed about having that cold saddle and girth buckled on, but perfectly comfortable walking around with the kidlet on her back again at last. Tomorrow, 15 minutes with a bit of trotting. She’s also going back in pasture with the other mares, after a month of isolation so she wouldn’t get chased or kicked. Still crossing my fingers a lot, but all is going well so far.
