We had a bit of a break in the weather today-- temps in the upper 40s, and the first sunshine we've seen in a long time. Though I have lots of things that need doing, there wasn't anything urgent, and I had a block of more than 4 hours when I didn't have to be anyplace in particular. I found myself dithering about whether to try to take a longer walk than usual, or just go to the park. Finally I mentally slapped myself, and when I dropped the kidlet off at work, I headed for the nearest place where I could take a long hike-- Warren Dunes State Park. I managed 4.5 miles, including hiking across the dunes-- sand is tough climbing! So I'm really pleased. And I got a few decent pics, too, though I didn't see much wildlife. At one point I saw fox tracks, clear and sharp, in dry sand on a breezy day-- they couldn't have been more than a few minutes old.
